Fabric guide/Modal
Modal — the quiet everyday.
A botanical fiber, spun and finished in a closed-loop process. Modal sits between silk and cotton — fluid, matte, breathable, and forgiving on the face.
Premium, Printed and Crinkle finishes. For mornings that ask for very little.

The cloth
Modal is the cloth we return to most. Its weight asks nothing of the wearer: it folds without coaxing, drapes without slipping, and softens — never roughens — with every wash.
Our modal family centres on Premium Modal, a denser weave that holds a sharper silhouette for an evening cut, plus Printed Modal for quieter pattern days and the Crinkle finish we travel with.
The family
Inside the modal family.
Premium Modal
Heavier hand, denser weave, a more structured fold.
Printed Modal
Subtle prints set into the same soft modal base.
Modal Crinkle
Pressed crinkle finish for a relaxed, textural fall.
Character
How it wears.
Hand
Liquid, never slippery.
Weighted enough to hold a wrap without pinning. Sits close to the face and falls long.
Light
Matte, low-lustre.
Reads as understatement under daylight; warms gently under evening light.
Wear
Day into evening.
Breathable for warm afternoons, considered enough for a softer occasion.
Season
All four.
Light enough to layer in summer, warm enough to wear alone through autumn.
Styling
Three quiet notes.
01
Pair with a smooth undercap for the cleanest silhouette.
02
Wrap once long, once short — let the longer end fall past the elbow.
03
Pin only at the shoulder; let the drape do the rest.
01
Cold hand-wash with a mild, pH-neutral detergent.
02
Press water out between two towels — never wring.
03
Lay flat to dry in shade. Iron low, on the reverse.
