The Fabrics

Our fabrics are where Lannée begins. Each is chosen for the way it drapes, the way it ages, and the way it feels at the end of a long day.

What fabrics do you use?

Three core families, each with its own character.

  • Modal — soft, matte, drapes close to the body. Our everyday signature.
  • Jersey — knit, breathable, four-way stretch. For the hours that don't slow down.
  • Chiffon — weightless and refined, finished to drape without effort.

Each family includes a few expressions (Premium, Printed, Crinkle, Bamboo, Air, Liquid) and our Lenzing Certified™ collection is reserved for pieces made with traceable Lenzing™ fibers.

How big are your hijabs?

One size. Each piece is cut to 180 × 70 cm (about 71 × 28 inches) — long enough to wrap, layer, and tie the way you prefer. Modal Crinkle comes slightly larger at 190 × 80 cm.

Do you carry undercaps?

Yes. Our Undercap sits under the Jersey family — soft, breathable, and made to disappear under whatever you choose to wear over it.

Will the colour fade?

With care, no. We use low-impact dye and finish each piece so the colour holds. Wash cold, avoid harsh detergents, dry away from direct sun. A small amount of dye release on the first wash is normal.

Order & Shipping

We ship from China with carriers chosen for reliable, tracked delivery. Most orders reach our customers within 6–12 business days.

Business days exclude weekends and public holidays. Tracking is sent by email once your order leaves our studio.

Is shipping free?

Yes, over a small threshold. Free standard shipping on orders over $50 to the US, £40 to the UK, €45 to the EU. Below that, a $5.99 flat fee applies to single-item orders — combined rates appear at checkout.

Do I have to pay customs or duties?

For UK orders, VAT is included. For other international orders, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees are the customer's responsibility and are collected by the carrier on delivery or billed afterwards. These are set by your country, not by us.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Within 2 hours of placing your order, yes — write to us at info@lannee.shop and we'll do our best to catch it. After that, the order enters fulfilment and can no longer be modified. You can always return it once it arrives (see below).

My tracking hasn't updated.

Please allow 24–48 hours for the first scan to appear, and up to 10 business days during peak carrier periods. If there has been no movement for more than 10 business days, write to us and we will investigate with the carrier or arrange a replacement at no cost to you.

My order arrived damaged or incorrect.

We're sorry. Please photograph the package, the label, and the piece before wearing it, and send everything to info@lannee.shop within 7 days of delivery. We will send a replacement or issue a full refund — whichever you prefer.

Returns

We want you to love what you wear. If something isn't right, returning it is a quiet, simple process.

What is your return policy?

Unworn, unwashed items in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Items must have their original tags attached.

How do I start a return?

Write to info@lannee.shop with your order number. We will send you a return authorisation and the return address. Please do not send anything back without authorisation — we cannot accept unannounced returns.

Do you cover return shipping?

For US orders, we provide a prepaid return label for defective or incorrect items. For change-of-mind returns, return shipping is the customer's responsibility.

When will I receive my refund?

Once your return reaches us, refunds are processed within 3–5 business days to your original payment method. Your bank may take additional time to show the credit.

Should I confirm the colour and fabric before ordering?

Yes. Because colour can vary on different screens and we do not offer exchanges, we encourage you to read each product's description carefully and confirm your colour and fabric choice before placing your order. If a piece is not right, you are welcome to return it for a refund — see our Shipping & Returns page for details.

Care

A small amount of care keeps each piece quiet, soft, and long-lived.

How do I wash my hijab?

Hand wash cold with a gentle detergent. If you machine wash, use a mesh laundry bag, cold water, and the delicate cycle. Avoid fabric softener — it coats the fibres and reduces breathability.

Can I tumble dry?

No. Lay flat or hang to dry, away from direct sunlight. Heat from dryers weakens fibres over time, especially modal and jersey.

Do I need to iron?

Most Lannée fabrics recover their shape on their own. If you'd like to press a piece, use a low-heat iron with a cloth between the iron and the fabric, or use steam.

How should I store hijabs?

Folded flat in a drawer is best. Avoid hanging heavy pieces on thin hangers — over time this can stretch the fabric at the shoulders.

Do you have a phone number?

Not yet. Email keeps the conversation written and considered, and lets us help you more precisely. If your matter is time-sensitive, mention "urgent" in the subject line.

Where is Lannée based?

Lannée is a brand based in China, shipping worldwide. Our studio handles design, sourcing, and customer care directly.

Will I be subscribed to marketing emails?

Only if you choose to. Order confirmations and shipping updates are sent automatically. Marketing emails go only to people who have signed up for them, and every email contains an unsubscribe link.

Do you offer wholesale or press samples?

Yes. For wholesale, partnerships, or press enquiries, please write to info@lannee.shop with the subject line "Wholesale" or "Press" and a short note about your project. We respond within a few business days.
